Over Ten Million Dollars worth of the finest cars ever made will be displayed in the center of Indianapolis on Saturday June 20, 2004.  Many them were designed and built right here inRay Harroun in the car that won the first Indy 500 Indiana over the past 100 years--Duesenberg, Cord, Marmon, Auburn, Stutz...

To perfect these fine machines a 2˝ mile test-track was built (1908) about 5 miles north of town as a year-round testing facility for the fast-growing automobile industry in Indiana.  3 years later this track became commercialized and hosted the first Indy 500--which was won by an Indianapolis-made car!.  Pictured above is #32 Ray Harroun's Marmon Wasp.

Today, its the well known Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  Come re-live the history and then experience the state of the art technology at the US Grand Prix on Sunday.  Many of these antiques likely raced on the IMS which is the oldest surviving auto racing track in the world, having existed since 1908.
